Awesome project! I see the demo instance is run on a 2gb ram 32-bit Odroid HC2. I was curious on minimum specs for hosting the project with or without federation. I'll try testing it on a few things and report back.

i just got it running on a 133MHz 486 machine and it's surprisingly sorta working with federation, but federation is really janky - sometimes messages will take an hour to send or receive, or not go through at all. the initial join to the main conduit room was extremely painful but worked eventually. local-only chats are pretty good though, and i don't think it's gone above 40MB memory usage the whole time even during the federated join. (plus it's running behind matrix-media-repo, so i sidestep the whole issue with #93)
